Jon Stewart is on CNN Global Edition in Central Europe!
|
I am on a business trip in Central Europe and was half asleep with the TV tuned to CNN when I heard the very familiar voice of Jon Stewart. Yes, The Daily Show is being shown on CNN here (it appears to be a day or two delay). Does anyone else see the irony/humor in that???

1. I knew that he was on...

... I lived in Germany between 2000-2003 and I do remember his show being on at godly hours on CNN International, but I thought it had been cancelled from their programming. When I first saw it over there I (at that time I had my parents record it for me on VHS and send it to me) was ECSTATIC. I thought, 'now they will know that we're not all idiots'! But then when I realized it was only on in the middle of the night, for those Americans with jetlag, I was kinda disappointed.
But, hey, enjoy!! Where are you, btw?

2. That is so great. We were in Europe a few years ago.

CNN was all international. It wasn't the same, at all. It's so good to see that now they have other network offerings that they don't seem to be able to provide for us here.

3. When I was in Spain CNN was the only channel in English.

One day I saw a commercial for a weekly Sunday airing of the Daily Show. I never actually watched it though. I was surprised that people in Europe would like it.
