Sharpton was great at his town hall meeting in SC
Gave the greatest comments on why he is in the race. Answered critics who ask why he is in the race when he can't win. Al said at least 5 others in the race can't win but he is in it to give voice to the concerns of people that the other candidates won't give voice to. Said his supporters won't be "wasting their vote" on him because if he has the delegate power to be in the race to the end he will certainly be expressing the concerns of people that won't otherwise be heard.

i agree with him. A vote by poor folks (white and black) is wasted on the other candidates except for Kucinich. He and Sharpton are the only ones carrying the message for the truly disenfranchised.

1. I enjoyed it. He did really well in a more solo setting
where he could explain his ideas with a little more depth than durint a 1 minute debate answer. I loved how he answered the abortion/Gay marriage question which seemed like a trap:

God doesn't force you to do one or the other. God gives you a choice, so how am I going to force you if God doesn't force you?

2. thank you
for posting this and your right Sharpton made a lot of sense. I want him or Kucinich to have that delegate power the way I see it my issues won't be addressed without one of those two being in there.

5. i really liked his reasons for staying in the race.
when they see me walk out on that stage, with those senators and governors and they know i came from the same place they are stuck in....

he should stay in for that reason alone.

I was posting in Kucinich forums when Sharpton came on cspan. He got the most applause, got people on their feet. I was EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He talks to MY needs and I appreciate it. He talks common sense about so many things. I don't know if he'll make it, but I sooooooooo appreciate his in your face tell it like it is posture. He is getting a valid message out and even if he doesn't win, the message will live on. It was very encouraging..I'd sure like to see a solid, fearless, plain speaking BLACK president before I die. Go sharpton! :bounce:

7. The Reverend says much that need to be said, however,
I sure hope he's really not vindictive enough to try to take Charlie Rangel out, as was posted in GD. He would lose any respect I have for him should he try to stifle another eloquent voice of the people.
