1. I caught about one half hour of it
I thought he responded very well to Russert on the charges on taking honoraria, campaign contributions from drug companies, the war in Iraq and the scream.

I wasn't terribly pleased with him calling Kerry a Republican. He claims he only apologizes if something appears to be an outright lie and I'd say that charge comes as close to an outright lie as any.

I thought his reponse on his gubernatorial records was truthful, however, I can see this response being used by Cheney right back at him (re: his energy papers)

2. Thumbs up from a relatively neutral party
I like both Kerry AND Dean. Does my vote here count? I thought Dean gave no ground to Russert's spinning and baiting, and came across as honest (speaking about the need to give out some hard messages, not just things people want to hear).

I don't like hearing the Democrats diss each other, and I thought Dean made reasonable attempts to make sure that his main target was Bush, not Kerry, even as he made clear that he didn't appreciate Kerry's claims to be free from special interests.

I gave him an A. He needs to take care of that cough though.

interests. He used numbers that lumped together individual donations made over a 19 year period by profession and workplace.

Would Dean like to reveal his donations over his entire career based on that exact same formula?

Saying Kerry is "on the take" is a very serious charge. Will Dean be filing a legal complaint and have Kerry arrested?

4. By your logic
Bush is not funded by special interests, since he's using the same bundling strategy as John Kerry.

Or aren't you familiar with "pioneers" and "rangers"?
