6. He seemed to be reluctant to talk about it
It was an odd interview. Tweety was just rushing the questions out and Hackett obviously wanted a slower pace.

4. Its too bad what the DCCC did to him.
Makes me kind of wonder about the Democratic leadership.

8. What did the DCCC do to him?
Rahm wanted him to run for the House spot. That's favorable and flattering. Schumer and Reid were rumored to have pressured him out, but that's tied to the DSCC.

12. And Hackett is the one who backed down
Edited on Mon Feb-20-06 09:16 PM by FreedomAngel82
He didn't fight. This is the second time he's failed. Now he's trying to blame everyone else except himself. :eyes: What a crybaby he's being now. Quite disappointing really. And how do we know what all Reid and Schumer did? It's their word against Hackett's.

9. nice, paul.
I don't remember Howard Dean acting this way after all the rumor-mongering about him by establishment Dems during the 04 primary.

For the record, I supported both Dean and Hackett.

18. Right. We can't speak ill of our infallible "leadership"...
...gimme a break. Hackett speaks his mind. I agree with him.

I think we should know exactly how sleazy our party "leadership" can be at times. MAYBE we'll stop shouting "they're spineless", grow some spines ourselves, and demand some integrity from them (or just vote their asses out).

10. It was great
BTW: Dan Lucas is the scumbag on the Brown campaign that was spreading the rumors. He was actually 'loaned' to Paul for a while when Brown was trying to figger out if he'd run or not. Then he pulls this kind of thing. Dan Lucas, todays WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD!!! Also, Henry Waxman made calls to donors AGAINST Paul Hackett.

17. Hopefully Lucas was just practicing for the GE campaign
he's going to need to get really nasty to beat DeSwine. While it's not good a priori to torch another Dem, the GE campaign will NOT be fought by the Rules of QUeensbury, so whoever's in Sherrod's corner had better be ready to get his/her hands dirty. Sounds like Lucas is sharpening his knives.
