It is starting............Dick to leave White House
I just heard on one of the news channels that Cheney has become a burden on the White House. This shooting incident along with the Plame scandal and I'm betting that Dick won't last much longer. After the polling call I received about Jeb in the White House, I think that he will probably be the new VP.

31. I never thought he was a puppet master
In puppet shows, the puppeteer ALWAYS remains hidden... In our case, it's puppeteers that hide and they are the top 3% of money men that benefited from the tax cuts.

4. They don't care
If they think they can get away with it they will do it. What's to stop them? They might even have a special election in Florida and run Neil.

19. It would be bad news for the Bush clan.
whoever gets the VP slot is the defacto standard bearer and new "cult of personality" candidate for the RW in 2008. I think it makes Jeb's chances even tougher. On the other hand, if they install a temporary caretaker in the slot...that'd tell me that they want to keep Jeb's chances clear in 2008. Whether this country can stand 8 more years of Bushrule is another question entirely.

7. Jeb in the White House.
You know, with just George to deal with, you got the feeling that just one Bush in the hand was worth less than a 100 in the Bushes. Now we have to contend with twice the corruption. Believe me, Jebbie knows a few bad boys.

27. Public service?
That Bush family have never served the public interest. They've been in it for themselves from the beginning. "We the people" are just a nuisance to them, getting in the way of further enriching themselves and their business cronies.

14. The press, hapless as it often is, has no love for Uncle Dick.
He's widely perceived as a hunkered-down, mean-spirited, lizard-souled sonofabitch who talks nasty to U.S. Senators (to Patrick Leahy: "Go fuck yourself") and who taunts the loyal opposition with suggestions that they are "French."

And now we learn that he's a bit unsteady when it comes to firearms.

The arrogance is bad enough but the compiled lying is beginning to cancel him out of the GOP's political scenarios. A lot of these GOP fools are going to try to run for re-election in November and they're not liking their chances all that much. Each new episode of lying and stalling and lying and stallying puts their constituents morein the mind of a change in Congressional reps.

Dense as he certainly is, even Dubya sees that he's got a political problem with Uncle Dick.

17. If Cheney resigns, do you think Bush will appoint McCain as VP?
McCain has been cozying up to the Reichwing since 2000 and it may be a big boost to Bush's falling poll numbers.

Jeb Bush can't be VP. Isn't there a rule against nepotism?

Edited on Wed Feb-15-06 08:25 AM by Bridget Burke
As bad as it was, Corruption & Treason sound a lot worse.

Of course, we're just speculating. My vote: In an unprecedented display of bipartisanship, Lieberman is named VP. As the dogs of impeachment come baying on Bush's trail--perhaps he could use the "health" excuse, as Cheney didn't. ("Yes, so sad. Mental deterioration--nobody suspected.")

Finally--pardons all 'round from President Lieberman.
