Emails MISSING from White House computers! (Fitzgerald investigation)
Edited on Tue Feb-07-06 06:27 PM by Angry Girl
Last week, Media Matters for America documented how most media outlets failed to report that special counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald, the lead prosecutor in the CIA leak case, wrote -- in a letter to defense attorneys for former vice presidential chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby -- that numerous White House emails from 2003 are missing from White House computer archives.

A further review by Media Matters has found that most major media outlets have continued to ignore this story; specifically, no reports on the missing emails have been found on any of the three major broadcast networks (ABC, NBC, and CBS), The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, or the Reuters wire service.

5. Oh. My. God.
The MSM IGNORING a story of national interest? I can't believe it.

What next? Days-on-end coverage of a blonde cheerleader gone missing in Aruba?

gee a massive cover-up from Republicans - what a surprise
Our media is impotent and doesn't give a crap.

It's more fun to slam John Kerry about his military service and print scads of stories about Al Gore's wardrobe.

15. Oh, but they DO give a crap!
They just don't give a crap about issues important to Democrats. If, somehow, a Democrat screwed up or there was an interesting DEMOCRATIC scandal, the airwaves would be chocked full of stories, we wouldn't be able to hear enough about it.

The Corporate Media is owned by Republicans. This was part of their 30 year plan to control everything in America. They've succeeded and our country is fucked because of it. This is no accident, this is a concerted effort to control the information thus controlling the people. These are textbook Nazi tactics and they've worked perfectly for the GOP.

7. You know, technology really HAS advanced...

this is sooo much easier now than having to stretch your leg under the office desk and hit that damn erase pedal "by accident" while talking on the phone. and hold that pose for 18 minutes! Now you just accidentally erase a few files and lose the backup tapes.

8. Remember when Ollie got burnt because he forgot about the backups! LOL
November 22-25, 1986
- John Poindexter and Oliver North electronically shred more than 5000 e-mail notes in the memory banks of their computer systems, as the Iran-contra scandal breaks.

November 28, 1986
- Career staff at the White House Communications Agency order the November backup tapes of the e-mail system to be saved instead of recycled as usual. Subsequently, investigators from the FBI and the Tower Commission use the backup takes to reconstruct the Iran-contra scandal.

10. Just because they are sly and evil

doesn't make them very smart. I mean you just HAVE to get rid of the backups!

They should have hired some Diebold programmers to rig things in the White House Communications Office.

I'm sure that the current gang of criminals did better. KKKarl isn't that stupid.

14. Hello people this ain't Nixon's WH with 15 mins of missing tape.....
this is person or persons actively involved in a conspiracy to obstruct justice and hindering a prosecution. The hard drives, servers and other storage mechanisms need to be seized by the prosecutor.
