Clark Steps Up Criticism of Bush
Imagine that--criticizing Bush! Now there's an interesting strategy! Maybe our other candidates could consider stopping their little slapfights and directing some of their fire at Bush. Ya think?

As he barnstormed across two states crucial to keeping his campaign alive, presidential candidate Wesley Clark sharpened his criticism of President Bush Saturday, calling him "the most divisive, polarizing leader in recent American history...."

"We've got a president in this country who really doesn't have a clue about where this country should be going," he said to loud cheers. "He redid his father's war against Saddam Hussein, he's redone Ronald Reagan's tax cuts for the wealthy, and now he wants to redo John Kennedy's space program."

Nevertheless, Richardson hailed Clark as "the next president of the United States" in Spanish to the gathering of some 300 Clark supporters.

8. My heart thudded when I read that earlier
But he gave Edwards a similar opening the same day. Richardson is being polite and nice to all the candidates.
