The LIES of David Brooks, Continued >>>
Now he is on the Newshour explaining that Bush can't make a lot of proposals tonight because "there is no money." Then he giggled about that for a while, and Lehrer chuckled too, as Brooks went on to explain that ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS were gobbling up all the money and now it's time to do something about that.

You're a LYING LIAR David Brooks. WHEN will you ever SHUT UP?

2. he's ABSOLUTELY RIGHT
the 'entitlement programs' for defense contractors, Halliburton, Big Pharm companies, and the welfare-for-billionaires scheme, are taking up all of our money

3. What's eating up the budget are...
... lack of revenues, due to tax cuts for the wealthy, taxpayer monies freely donated to the starving oil and gas industry, tax breaks for corporations with the best lobbyists, along with egregiously large defense spending. All these have combined to increase the interest on the debt, which is progressively shrinking the discretionary side of the budgets.

Entitlements don't have one fucking thing to do with it, Brooksie boy.

4. Something Must Be Done About Brooks, Not Entitlements
Boy I'm glad I made the decision not to watch The Newshour tonight...

6. WHY is this neocon from the Weekly Standard shoved in my face ALL THE TIME
I have to endure him on NPR, the Newshour, the New York Times, and on Sundays on Tweetie. It's INFURIATING. Did they run out of pundits? It's an outrage.

5. He's right-entitlement to Big Oil, Big Pharmaceutical, Big Banks
Edited on Tue Jan-31-06 07:55 PM by MissWaverly
For once, he hit the nail on the head. bush is 1000% behind corporate welfare and
no lobbyist left behind. I am waiting for him to help out poor Kenny Lay and poor
Tom Delay and poor Scooter Libby and not to mention poor Jack Abramoff. He can't
get any sleep at night worrying about the poor.
