Slobodzian’s story said that in the last three months, city officials have shuttered all three of Philadelphia's private - but publicly advertised - clubs for couples and singles who enjoy sex, if not love, with a proper stranger.

It began Nov. 13, when Club Kama Sutra - named for the ancient Hindu guide to lovemaking - was closed by the Department of Licenses and Inspections after operating for five years behind blacked-out windows in the former home of Señor Rattler's Mexican Restaurant.

Officially, lifestyle has nothing to do with it. L&I moved against each of the three establishments, officials say, for "operating a sex club without a permit."

The story goes on to say that the Club Kama Sutra owner Alan Tizer said he'd get a sex-club permit in a minute except for a catch-22: the city doesn't issue them.

They closed down a coupla sex clubs and a BDSM "toy" shop in Indianapolis, too. The BDSM place because it was "too close" to a school or some such shit.

If his business is registered with the city and there are no licensing requirements, he actually has a countersuit, especially since it was a source of revenue and he has now lost his clientele.

When a city shuts down a small business on a specified licensing charge when no licensing requirement exists, they are "interfering" with the legal operation of that business, and causing financial damage to the business owner(s).

Could you imagine having a restaurant shut down for not being licensed to have waiters? I hope the Philly so called "morality" police have to pay through the asshairs for this one.

3. I worked down the block from a sex club for 5 years

My friends lived down the block. (It is a BDSM club). There was NEVER a problem there. They have moved a few months back but it was very quiet and I had no idea what it was until I looked it up on google.
