The Army has been forced to promote officers who aren't ready for the job because bush is stretching the service too thin and more officers are opting out than stay for another tour in Iraq.

"BASICALLY IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN COURT-MARTIALED YOU'LL BE PROMOTED TO MAJOR." Said an Army source who understandably didn't want his name used.

Combine this with the Navy's Blue to Green Program where officers and sailors in the sea service who would not be promoted in the Navy for various reasons can switch services to the Army and not lose paygrade and Uncle Sam can proudly salute and say "georgie your doing a heckuva job."

A man who deserted his military unit to avoid a drug test is now doing his damndest to ruin the Army with his policies and "conservatives" wave their flags and sing his praises.
