Let's throw all the bums out. They are all crooks and liars and America can do better. The Democrats may not have accepted Abramoff money but I am sure they accepted some lobbiest money and gave favors in return. Let's hope the election of 2006 makes the 1994 election look like a normal election year. Granted it's the Republicans who are in charge and have flopped so badly but most people don't feel like any Congressman is trustworthy and I have that same inclination. Throw the bums out...

And what do you think "throwing the bums out" will accomplish? The next set of elected legislators will be subject to the same financial pressures that the current set is. The system is set up so that legislators are extremely dependent on lobbyists money. Changing legislators will not change the system. It's true you need new legislators, but they have to be committed to changing the system. Their first acts have to be directed toward eliminating corporate money from politics; or else, changing legislators will not change anything.

Personally, I think we have more hope of this from Democrats than Republicans.
