How many times have we heard Bush and his minions recite their mantra "9/11 Changed Everything?"

If I hear that a million more times I might scream.

The American Revolution happened.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

The Civil War happened.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

The attack on Pearl Harbor happened.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

The Cold War happened.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

Slavery came and went.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

Presidents were assassinated.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

The 1918 Influenza Pandemic came and went.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

There was the Scopes Monkey Trial.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

There was Watergate.

AND THAT DIDN'T CHANGE EVERYTHING!

And there was 9/11.

And that didn't change everything either. So make them stop saying that.

16. WT 7 is the smoking gun, however...

There may be a reason why the Dem leadership isn't going near it. Think about it, and I know it's still unacceptable, but would the Democrats being putting this country in a very hard and difficult position? After all, the United States launched a lot of military action and unheard of acts, from the U.S., based on 9/11, so what would happen if the whole world had members of the U.S. Government and credible revelations that members of the U.S. Government were responsible for 9/11?

There would be hell to pay for the U.S. on an international scale, and demands for trials of those involved, and it's doubtful that a U.S. trial would be acceptable. Could it be that Democrats are being complicit after the fact, in an attempt to save the country from foreign intervention and control and to try to salvage U.S. credibility?

If that is the case, the Democrats may be fighting a lost battle and inadvertently enabling the destruction of this nation. If true, the Democrats would be putting country first over the deeds of the other party, while the other party is putting their party above country. Unless, the dems are being bribed, blackmailed, or threatened to keep it quiet.

8. I grew up during the height of the Cold War and lived with the

prospect of nuclear annihilation during my first thirty years of life. If ANYTHING should have changed changed EVERYTHING, it would have been that.

Oh, but we had reasonable leaders and a better informed public back then. We didn't lose our republic back then.

There is a BBC documentary out there called
The Power of Nightmares. I've actually seen
where you can watch it online in a few places.
It is fucking amazing how little things have
changed. Rumsfeld was a major manipulator
of the cold war too. We've been manipulated

examining the post 911 world and shows the connections
between the Islamic fundimentalists and the Christian
fundies, and there are amazing connections. They came
out of the exact same thing. I could not recommend this

I just did the current Zogby poll. What the * is the definition of a "Post 9/11 Mentality"? I know I have one - it is that I am constantly aware that I'm losing my civil liberties and I'm paranoid about my own fascist government. I suspect that was not Zogby's definition. I don't watch TV so that might be why I'm not current on accepted societal definitions. Would someone care to enlighten me?
