Hamas Win a Bombshell
--headline in LA Daily News

Bombshell? Does anyone doubt Iraq is responsible for solidifying the base of this extremist org and sinking the "roadmap"?

American foreign policy has all the finesse of drunks in a bar shoving each other, and anyone who sees a "bombshell" here has been asleep for the last three years...

10. I actually think this might be for the long term good..
Hamas may now grow into a legitimate political party, as opposed to remaining a militant faction.

3. I would say Bush is 100% responsible..
Since it was Bush that started the illegal war in Iraq. All this ME turmoil was predicted before he invaded Iraq.

4. Bush is in a real bind
He says he's for democracy in the Middle East. Here's a democratically elected political party whose policies the US despises. But what can we say and not be viewed as hypocritical?

7. Yeah, its a tough one
So what to do? Maybe wait to see what Hamas plans to do.....

I imagine the US and Europe will coordinate a response then.

6. It was inevitable
The crushing and taming of Arafat and Al Fatah handed the election to Hamas long ago, and they still worked the electorate like pros and with genuine passion and service. If Bush had taken an interest in Ireland, Sinn Fein would be elected in the majority, north and south.

As long as the media shows genuine surprise at the inevitable and no hint of cause and effect it remains fatally incompetent or deceitful, take your pick.

We were making headway with peaceful rapprochement with iran and North Korea before Bush. Both Bushes do nothing to get rid of nukes anywhere at all. Both Bushes create terrorists and share boardrooms with direct connections to war and terrorism- and oil. ALL nations want their freedom and control over their lives and resources. They will back anyone in such an ultimate struggle- and do. Bush shows no support for better leadership or democracy. Those are the roadkill in his losing war against the world. our economic primacy is now based solely on blackmail and coercion. Our people are now held together by unsustainable lies to the point where the whole nation must become incompetent or incapable of coping with reality.

More bombshells forthcoming, o glorious LA Times.
