10. yeah, pretty much, though I do know fundies that aren't mistreating
women to the point of requiring multiple children.
However, the whole "family values" bullcrap about the wife being subject to the husband is hardwired into them.
And the husbands don't do much housework. ON the other hand, they do a lot of hard "husband" work, like building sheds, and whatnot.
Its rare to ever see one of them do laundry, though.

LOL, I have some fundie relatives is how I know this, and one or two neighbors.

FWIW, the women seem either in agreement with this attitude or so coerced into it it appears the same.

19. I am not sure about that
I think they want submission with the man the head of the family the way Christ is the head of the church. Not burquas, stylish clothes.

But the stay home thing? Maybe a few of them, but most of them are only TOO HAPPY to have another income coming in. As long as it doesn't interfere with her wifely duites: bearing the children, raising them, housework, dinner, dishes, churchwork, and a cute little hobby.

12. unequal rights
The putting down of women is something that goes back into history. The ancient Romans had a law that stated a family only had to raise their first born daughter; female infanticide was a wide practice there and in the Middle East. The history of women's right is one that goes from gaining rights (such as when the Qur'an was transmitted through the Beloved Prophet) to losing them (going back to "honor killings" or "female circumcision").

I don't think the rw fundamentalist "Christians" have no intentions of having women lose the vote; they just want their male spouses or relatives to tell them how to vote. As for having control over their bodies and their lives--they wish to go back decades, if not centuries.

20. biblically two things
in the old testament -- mostly but not all -- a woman is basically unclean.
therefore she is subordinate to a man.
the reason for adam's fall.

second in the new testament -- it's paul who rules here.
paul flat out doesn't like women.
they are to subservient to their husbands -- and he should dominate her.

so if those two outlooks are the basis for your beliefs -- whatever they want from or for women -- it can't be good.

25. Barefoot, Pregnant, Kitchen
Many think women should not vote, should be subservient to men, and be virgins til they marry.
Women should not have any reproductive choices, eg birth control.
Married women should not have a career.
