Kerry with Wide Lead Among Democratic Primary Voters in Missouri

John Kerry has a wide lead among likely Democratic primary voters in Missouri according to a survey by the American Research Group. A total of 46% of likely Democratic primary voters say they will vote for Kerry. Kerry's closest competitor is John Edwards at 15%. The other candidates and the uncommitted vote are in single digits. A total of 15% of likely Democratic primary voters remain undecided.

Kerry also leads in favorability, with 72% of likely Democratic primary voters saying they have a favorable opinion of Kerry.

These results are based on 600 completed telephone interviews among a statewide random sample of registered voters in Missouri saying they will definitely vote in the Democratic presidential preference primary on February 3, 2004. The interviews were conducted January 28 and 29, 2004. The theoretical margin of error for the total sample of 600 is plus or minus 4 percentage points, 95% of the time, on questions where opinion is evenly split.

Kerry Leads Among Democratic Primary Voters in Delaware

John Kerry leads among likely Democratic primary voters in Delaware, but nearly one-quarter of likely primary voters remain undecided according to a survey by the American Research Group. A total of 27% of likely Democratic primary voters say they will vote for Kerry. Joe Lieberman follows in second place at 16%, with Howard Dean close behind with 14%. A total of 24% of likely Democratic primary voters remain undecided.

Kerry also leads in favorability, with 68% of likely Democratic primary voters saying they have a favorable opinion of Kerry.

Wesley Clark has gained the lead in ballot preference among likely Democratic primary voters in Oklahoma according to a survey by the American Research Group. A total of 23% of likely Democratic primary voters say they will vote for Clark, 18% say they will vote for John Edwards, and 17% say they will vote for John Kerry. A total of 10% of likely Democratic primary voters say they will vote for Joe Lieberman and 8% say they will vote for Dean. In a survey a month ago, 24% of likely Democratic primary voters said they would vote for Dean. A total of 22% of likely Democratic primary voters remain undecided.

John Kerry and Wesley Clark lead in ballot preference and favorability among likely Democratic primary voters in Arizona according to a survey by the American Research Group. In the ballot preference, Kerry leads with 24% of the vote and is followed by Wesley Clark with 21% of the vote. John Edwards is third at 15% and Howard Dean is fourth at 10%. In a survey a month ago, Dean was leading with 26% of the vote. Kerry has gained 18 percentage points in ballot preference from the last survey, Edwards has gained 14 percentage points, Clark has gained 6 percentage points, and Dean has lost 16 percentage points. Nearly one-quarter of likely Democratic primary voters remain undecided in the race.
