Elected dems need to come back breathing fire. Bush admitted to illegal spying and lied about getting court approved wiretaps for terrorists. This issue is black and white even for the "lets work together" types.

Fire doesn't impeach. You need a majority. And we don't have it. Yet. I don't have a problem with folks talking about impeachment. But I think in order to get the public behind us and create pressure, we need to be demanding investigations first. Jumping straight to a demand for impeachment is too easy for the repubs (and the media) simply to ignore.
On the other hand, demanding an investigation is harder for the repubs to resist and the media is more likely to pay attention since the pursuit of information still turns some journalists on...

an investigation so that a long, solid list of impeachable offense is developed.

We also have to demonstrate how much of the Bush Administration is a toxic mold that must be removed from the halls of government.

5. This is all I'm asking for

I want an investigation and all the crimes committed to the record. Yelling "impeach" doesn't work unless you have the evidence shoved in the face of the american people day after day. The media won't do it, but they can't ignore a congressional investigation.
