Blitzer blows off Jimmy Carter for Brush Fire Story!
Wolf Blitzer blew off an interview this afternoon with Jimmy Carter over Bush's illegal, unconstitutional, and impeachable wiretaps of American citizens in favor of another LOCAL NEWS STORY - brush fires in Texas and Oklahoma.

This is especially egregious because the Republican news-liars have been spinning that Carter and Clinton did the same as Bush when in fact they did not. Both Carter and Clinton specifically prohibited spying on Americans in their orders but these sentences were intentionally left out by Drudge and others in their lying.

Once again, like the string of missing blonde, white women; plane problems; and disappearing cruise ship tourists, a local story has been taken and blown up out of all proportion and made a national issue more important than democracy, a constitutional government, and a would be dictatorship in the United States.

Please write Wolf and ask him what happened to the Jimmy Carter story and demand that he interview both Carter and Clinton on this.

Why is Larry King doing fluff interviews on a long dead pop idol (Rick Nelson - who cares?)tonight? Why can't they get Carter and Clinton on for a change?

1. More ironic? I live in TX and the local news
covered the fires in north TX for about 2 minutes.
I think CNN is purposely trying to cover anything but the glaring topic of the decade (if not longer).

OMG where's Walter Cronkite when you need him?

Dangerous dogs on-line list in Florida. Clearly a NATIONAL story...

2. King said in 2001 he won't do much politics anymore.
He promised his good friend GHWBush that he wouldn't jeopardize their friendship.

on when any political story did creep onto his set.

You will notice that he's had as many religious based shows on since 2001 as he has had political. But, in depth political analysis shows are no longer his cup of tea.

Even 9-11 and Katrina didn't change that. Patrick Fitzgerald didn't, either.

With Clinton, he would have weeks and weeks of shows on the same petty subjects. How many days of Plame case have there been? And have any of them even been back to back?

16. I got to meet one of his executive assistants recently.
this summer at a dinner in Florida.

I've forgotten her name though.

I'll have to look for her card and email her.

4.  This type of news always comes first because it is NEWS.
It is current,it is just happening.

All weather news is current and would take the place of an interview that could be done at a later time.

I certainly wouldn't have wanted to watch political interviews during the hurricane season.

10. Good point. So how does one explain their
obsessive coverage of planes circling-because they hope it crashes?
I think they're lazy, partisan nincompoops myself.

12. This isn't national news and CNN isn't the Weather Channel.
There is no excuse for this nonsense.

13. This "news" allows them to OMIT more important news.
You are wrong- On recent "news" shows, Carter has been lied about concerning his position on wire-taps- here was his chance to set this false "news" straight.

14. This is what you get,
when big-shot GOPhugging CEOS give marching orders down to define the news. The memos were probably out, cover the wire-tapping as little as possible. Free press? Bah!

hanged at Nuremberg for his complicity in Hitler's propaganda machine. Our corporatized news mouthpieces are complicit. It's the media the masses should be protesting--they are the ones spreading the bullshite. And, Hitler thanked the American Public Relations industry for allowing him to use their methods to so bamboozle he German people. I don't mind PR selling soap, but selling us a defective administration is very, very dangerous. Also, selling us a war like the Rendon Group sold us Iraq is unconscionable. Rendon is a disgrace!!!!! He has no soul and he is a traitor to this country!!!!
