Did Karl Rove Hide or Destroy Evidence in Plame Case?

Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald met with the grand jury investigating the leak of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson for several hours Friday. Short of a last minute intervention by Rove's attorney, Fitzgerald is expected to ask a grand jury-possibly as soon as next week-- to indict Rove for making false statements to the FBI and Justice Department investigators in October 2003, lawyers close to the case say.

Moreover, Fitzgerald is said to believe that there is a possibility Rove either hid or destroyed evidence related to his role in the leak, lawyers close to the case said.

A few weeks after he took over the investigation into the leak of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson in early 2004, Fitzgerald had already become suspicious that Karl Rove and Vice President Cheney's then-chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby were hindering his investigation.

I can't wait to hear the press conference Fritz gives afterwards and the anologies he draws about this in his ever so calm demeanor. Libby threw sand in my eyes. Rove took the baseball and encased it in cement wrapped it in chains then buried it behind third base in the dead of night. Ahh get out the popcorn people the Fat Lady is clearing her throat for this week of holiday caroling!

3. If this is true,

it's an order of magnitude greater than I could have expected.

All my life, I've heard everyone admonish me to, "do the right thing," or, "play fair," etc., and you'll always win in the end. All while watching the cheating bastards get the prizes. Someone like rove going to prison will be kinda like a validation of these sometimes seemingly trite values. (It will also be so satisfying on almost a visceral level.)

4. All this and yet;

The articles that I've read all seem to say that there will be a Dem boost in the House and Senate but that a win of majority in either or both is not statistacally probable. Most people really don't give a damn about all this. They listen to the sound bites. IMHO
