Bush told "members" of the intelligence Committee?
Dick Durbin was on the committee at the time and he says he was never told. And Diane Feinstein says she was told nothing? So, who was told? One or two Republicans? I think it would be useful to know who Bush informed about the domestic spying? And why was not every member on the Intelligence Committee told? Why are some more deserving of information than others? I seriously doubt that anyone was told. But Bush believes they will cover for him..?

1. Maybe he meant
intelligence community, as in he talked to Condi and Dickie Bird and they didn't discourage him from going ahead and spying. Then maybe he called H*burton and asked for a list of people they were wanting to scrutinize.
Who knows what this amoral chimp has done. I hope Bobby Woodwind is over there taking notes for his next book, Curious George Ruins a Government.

3. Senator Bob Graham (FL) was chair of the Intelligence committee in 2002
and he specifically says he was not told.

Former Sen. Bob Graham, D-Fla., who chaired the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2002, said he wasn't informed of the surveillance program.

Former Sen. Bob Graham, D-Fla., who chaired the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2002, said he wasn't informed of the domestic surveillance program. In an interview, Graham recalled a 2002 meeting in Vice President Dick Cheney's office about a far more narrow plan by the National Security Agency to intercept communications from outside the United States to other foreign destinations that rely on U.S. satellite links.

"What the administration did was not justified," Graham said. "You don't fight terrorism by taking away the constitutional liberties of U.S. citizens. ... I never saw a situation of extreme urgency that would warrant this."

Remember, Senator Graham keeps detailed logs of his interactions and daily events. Old Bushler can't hold a candle to Graham's records. Next lie, *?? We're waiting. It won't be long.

9. Excellent point seafan
I had forgotten about Graham's minute by minute diary. I guess I should have written it down. ;-)

4. did he specifically say "Senate Intelligence Committee..."
of just "the intelligence committee?" In Bush's brain, members of the WHIG or the OSP are probably equivalent if he said the latter.

5. "Members" means the chairs of the committees.
Both parties were informed. It's up to the chairs to disseminate the information to the members of their parties in each committee

This is nothing new. If the republican side was told, the minority chair had to be told. We need to ask the republican chair if he was told.

10. I remember the Democrats complaining about being shut out of
the briefings. So there is a real good chance that the Dems were flying blind.
