I Was Listening To A Radio Talkshow Yesterday Called Beyond The Beltway...
and they were discussing - in this time of war what sacrifices the American people should make.

I immediately thought we are making the ultimate sacrifice - we let * be pResident.

As an aside - most of the people calling in were anti-*. They touched on 9/11 and the callers don't believe it went down the way we were told. One spoke of M. Atta's passport being found in the rubble of WTC. Another was suspect of the lack of intelligence before 9/11 to prevent it from happening and then a day or two after having the pictures of the 19 (alledgedly) hijackers on the front page of the newspapers. He went on to say that some of those implicated were still alive.

The host had no real good response for these callers.

1. very interesting............
....that some of them may be alive!!

I just finished reading a fictional novel that says pretty much the same thing. It talks about someone who was in charge of updating all of the data bases with info on suspected terrorists. And there was an effort within the secret services to prove that some terrorists were dead. Later in the book, those very same terrorists (who were supposed to be dead) carried out a terrorist attack! Since they were already dead at the time of the attack, they knew no one would be looking for them.

I don't believe it happened the way we were led to believe it did. And if you ask yourself, who had the most to gain from 9/11, there really is only one logical answer............Bush! Without 9/11, it would have been much more difficult to sell the Iraq war.

2. Yeah, that show originates from Chicago......
and the host Bruce DuMont is a complete RW apologist. The show is also simulcast here on Public TV and he normally has three guests, one conservative, liberal, and independent. Some guests are more effective than others and they normally balance out.

As the host of the show however, he always guides the discussion in favor of the RW slant. Unless the liberal guest can counteract that tactic, he/she is usually put on the defensive by the host. I stopped watching Beyond the Beltway because of that bias.

Maybe there has been a major shift in sentiment around the country to where even DuMont must acknowledge it. I should have watched last night, it sounded encouraging. Thanks for the report.
