Good Morning all. I came across this piece as I was surfing. I just can not understand this mindset:

The writer goes on to make several claims about Liberal Politicians all snide and derogatory. I'd like to respond to his claims. I realize this is of course ignorant and pointless on my part because the writer will most likely not concede any points and attack me personally, and I usually don't get into arguments to win but to exchange ideas and learn things, but this has my ire up!

Seriously, any ideas or links to counter this bozo's opinions? I'd like to read what people think.

there are so many citations, even audio and video clips, where they say one thing one time and another thing another time. I won't give him a hit to see what else he said, but if he's citing David, I'm wondering if he also condoned what that king did to make sure he got Bathsheba. And if this person says he's a Christian, why isn't he checking out what Jesus said instead of dwelling in the Old Testament?

You're right that you won't be able to change his mind. I'd just let it go and not give him the attention he obviously craves. Just rest assured that national polls point to the fact that the majority in this nation aren't buying what he's trying to sell.

Thanks, I had considered the Jesus Option. Jesus visits * in the WH and says, "Dude, can you like stop using my name to justify your Wars?" I don't know how Modern Christians can reconcile all the killing with their faith.

5. Towards what purpose will you respond?

It will only serve to:

1. Get you pissed, upset..raise your blood pressure
2. Get whomever you write to pissed, upset, etc. which will cause him/her to spend time countering it
3. Allow the counterpoint to get you pissed, upset, raise your blood pressure all over again ad nausium
4. Make you feel the futility; When you are done, there will still be millions upon millions of other idiots to set straight
5. Waste time in a life that gets shorter by the minute. Spend it doing something constructive in direct action opposition to the message of the writing.

But, I'm in contact with my guys in Ramadi every day and it's just things like this make me realize how most Conseratives are really saying "Fuck the Troops" and view them as plastic risk pieces on a cardboard map, ignoring their suffering and the pain the ones who don't get brutally maimed feel at coming home to an America that doesn't really care about the war and would rather focus on who Paris Hilton is doing at this very moment.
