Would you support a moratorium of some sort on negative threads of any kind for a 24 or 36-hour period starting tomorrow and ending at midnight Christmas Day?

but mostly because it shouldn't be assumed that everyone here is Christian and that Christmas Eve or Christmas Day have any meaning for them other than it's a Wednesday and a Thursday.

And of course, it stiffles dissent. One person's "attack" is another person's "legitimate discussion of an issue" so any manner of dissent would have to be stiffled to please all.

people are always free to refrain from negativity on their own whenever they want. if we go for a 24-hour ban, it's too much like people who go to church on sunday and return to hatred the rest of the week. not an exact analogy, so no flames por favor, as what we have here is usually good healthy debate that might include negativity.
