Jesus breaks with the Religious Right over Iraq War....
Edited on Wed Dec-07-05 12:48 PM by kentuck
Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson have called him weak on defense and a traitor to our country. Jesus said "give unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and unto God that which is God's". He lectured them on war and peace. He told them in the most blunt terms that true "Christians" do not support war. They are "peacemakers". He said, "Blessed are the peacemakers for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven". Michael Reagan said He should be hung for treason. There is a deep split within the Republican Party. They cannot decide whether to go with George W Bush or with Jesus...

2. I heard a freeper tell me Bush
was the Second Coming. But I've heard other folks who read the Bible tell me Bush is the Anti-Christ. Personally, I'll stay away from Bush and stay with the Breath of God (Ruh Allah)- Jesus.

5. Jesus said the meek shall inherit the Earth,
the neocons said that's fine, we will just trash the place and take off for Mars.

6. How anyone can say with a straight face Falwell follows Jesus ...

The most remarkable thing about the "leaders" of political Christianity is their complete lack of any of the qualities Jesus held dear.
