Clark on Faux NOW....disagreeing with Rummy
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 10:31 AM by Gloria
I've just sat through a bridge being blown up twice (BREAKING NEWS) and then we're going to hear how Rummy is upset about the media and Iraq and THEN Clark will attempt to bring some level of seriousness to this crew......

Oops, they showed Lieberman talking about Iraq, now Clark is on.

Concerned about the strategy...that's his main concern...
NOW a tape of Rummy and the media....not showing reconstruction, etc etc.

Clark: "Totally disagree" with what Rummy says...says military is held in high regard.
"Tough to criticize the media" on this one....media reports what people want to hear and if you've got loved ones ...people at home, the first thing they want to hear about is safety....

Administration itself gave the standard....Reconstruction hard with out security (so media started looking)... so you can put a little bit of blame on both sides (Admin and media)

NYT Times op ed after the break.......

1. Iraq as Iranian buffer state--Clark explains...Shias majority
party in Iraq, aligned with Iran, armed militia mostly in South, British haven't been able to penetrate power structure, Constitution is biased in favor of the Shias.

Democracy rules= Shias rule

Clever game...Shia militias need to be taken apart...Americans fighting the Sunnis which favors the Shias. (sic) Democracy has to include everybody....

NO QUICK EXIT. This is a tough problem. If we "stay the course" we're on now.... we're going to hand this country to Iran, much to our sorrow!
