Today, 11/30, is the 12th anniversary of the Brady Bill

The Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, also known as the Brady Bill, was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Bill Clinton on November 30, 1993.

Since 1994, the Brady Law has helped to prevent a total of more than 536,000 felons, fugitives, domestic abusers, and other prohibited purchasers from buying guns. In Nov. 1998, the Instant Background Check System took effect, allowing access to a fuller set of records that law enforcement officials can use to conduct checks of all prospective gun purchases-not just for handguns. 2. Now that it's instant check I like it. Did'nt like the waiting period

I hated to have to wait 5 days before I got a pistol, but now that they just do the quick telephone check that there's no record of or anything I like it and don't feel it's an inconvenience.
