Representative Murtha on Hardball (MSNBC)
Now!

I'm not sure if it's a repeat (I just got home), but for those interested, he's laying out Tweety!

1. "how long will it take to have an Iraqi force able to defend that gov't?"
that's the question Tweety just asked Murtha ...

Murtha's answer: "i've heard estimates up to 25 years!!"

Actually this is a good interview.
Tweety is doing the job he should by chalenging Murtha. Murths is doing very well in answering him!

3. another 3.9 billion when they haven't spent the 18

4. Murtha just said: "there's no other plan that makes any sense to me"
doesn't sound like he thinks his plan is close to Kerry's plan as some of DU's Kerry's supporters have mistakenly suggested ...

why are Kerry supporters so desperate to give Kerry some of the credit for Murtha's plan???

6. Murtha: "I should have spoken out much earlier"

7. The more I read about
John Murtha the better I like him.

The bush administration has not been "truthful" about anything but I digress.

8. it's nice to see Dems in the House getting behind him ...
even if the Dems in the Senate won't ...

Murtha has a ton of integrity ... i don't like his hawkish views but his call to get the troops out of Iraq with no conditions other than their safety is a position i can support ...

i wouldn't expect to agree with him if he wanted to send US forces from "over the horizon" back into Iraq ... of course, it seems somewhat unlikely he'd be willing to trust bush with another occupation ...

i wonder if the Senate Dems will ever call for unconditional withdrawal ... it's about time they did ... trusting bush with more time in Iraq is insane ...

10. Murtha said he did not believe the president
when he said that all the generals had to do to get more troops was to ask. He flat out said, I don't believe that.
