EFF just fought a "Voting Rights Case" here in NC...please give them some

money. Even if it's just a couple of $'s..they helped us out here in NC for Verified Paper Ballot Voting Rights ...BIG TIME!

They sent a lawyer down here to help support a Bill to require any company wanting to sell "Touch Screen/DRE Machines" to have "open Source Computer Code" and Diebold came down here and found a "slick NC RW Lawyer" to argue for them, against a small band of NC GRASSROOTS ACTIVISTS who FOUGHT HARD FOR A BILL that would only allow Verified Paper Ballots with an Auditable Paper Trail. We no sooner got that Bill passed than "DIEBOLD" sent down their Vultures and gave the case to a RW NC Lawyer Franchise to argue it.

Please give to EEF...because they sent one of their Great High Power Lawyers to HELP US go against DIEBOLD!

Please donate to them. This lawyer was supported for his plane fair from CA and had to even change his flight and stay over a night (costing extra money and time out of his life) to FIGHT FOR US HERE IN NC. And, we didn't pay him. It came out of "donations" to this incredible group who helped us little "grassroots group of voting activists in NC" when no one else wanted to deal with it..gratis.

Give them support. I think even pennies during this Holiday Season would help them keep supporting us! :shrug: It's a GREAT CAUSE...for what they did to help us who were desperate!!!!!

Diebold Attempts to Evade Election Transparency Laws
The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) is going to court in North Carolina to prevent Diebold Election Systems, Inc. from evading North Carolina law. In a last-minute filing, e-voting equipment maker Diebold asked a North Carolina court to exempt it from tough new election requirements designed to ensure transparency in the state's elections. Diebold obtained an extraordinarily broad order, allowing it to avoid placing its source code in escrow with the state and identifying programmers who contributed to the code.
