1. Poor Rummy. He thinks spin is gonna save his ass.
How delightful to speculate that Cheney is having fits that shake the Pentagon and giving Rumsfeld hell like he has never known.

21. "Full Ginsburg" followed "Full Cleveland"
A Full Cleveland, if memory serves, was a 70's THING where the men wore white shoes, ties, and belts with their polyester suits.

One could of course wear a partial Cleveland, but the real dandys went for the Full Cleveland.

30. Go ahead and splurge. Get yourself an outfit
You never know, it might work for you. DUers could be the ones to bring this "fashion" back on the scene and make it a groovy, happening thing -- maybe even the uniform of the New Proles.

As for me, alas, I am a sartorial disaster case and thus an unlikely candidate for a Full Cleveland.

18. Perhaps he can explain the plan to us.
I don't wanna hear that "We'll stand down when Iraqis stand up" bullshit.

Their plan is to continue to kill and kill and kill. Someday, in the aftermath of the publicly accepted and politically spun genocide, the great Christian nation of Iraq will be established. Then we get the oil.

20. Actually, that's the real problem
A good friend of mine who's been a Marine for 22 years, who comes from a Marine family, and who is now a Lt. Col. in the reserves (he says he'll resign his commission if they try to call him up for this one - he did Desert Storm) tells me that he hears from his compatriots who are over there that the Iraqis will NOT be trained, that they run away and disappear, and that they (the Marines) are convinced that there will never be any kind of cohesive Iraqi military force.

Good thing we disbanded Saddam's army as soon as we took Baghdad, huh?

What blockheads.

36. No, we won't get the oil. That's a neocon delusion of power.
After we beggar ourselves murdering sufficient Iraqis, the nearer neighbors like China, India, Russia, and Europe, will find a reasonable excuse to ride to the rescue of the pitiful survivors, oust us, and take the oil, while being congratulated as liberators.

We will be reviled, and weak, and oil-less. Because we won't have the money to buy any, either. THAT is the natural outcome of this stupid stupid stupid adventure.

He and Liebreman hurt the party EVERY time they go on (which is why the corporate media likes them so much).

Dems are going to have a VERY hard time making any gains unless they can do something to muzzle their DINO's.
