Democrats have ditched their appeasement and have gone to war
For 5 years many of us have chided the Congressional Democrats for their Vichy French qualities. No more! The Democrats have ditched their appeasement of the GOP and have gone to war. From John Kerry to John Murtha, they are now waging war against the most criminal government in our nation's history. Real war heroes such as Kerry and Murtha have raised the banner against chickenhawks such as Cheney and Hadley.

I applaud our Congressional Democrats and I stand solidly in their support. I won't waste my time fighting old battles with people that are in need of our support. How about you?

4. The big test will come with the Alito nomination
there is no ambiguity about Alito, and that will show exactly if they appease or NOT

Yes, the Iraq issue is good what they are doing, but it isn't the only issue

19. Not sure which sulking or giving Reps enough rope to hang themselves with.
I highly prefer to think the latter. :D

At this point I don't truly care.... some of them have finally come out kicking butt but I do remain watchful since I know that only time will tell if they all can keep it up.

33. I still can't get over how it took them so long to put up a fight.
I know several Democrats that have lost faith or are losing faith in the party.I still support them, but I still feel they should've raised hell before Bush got his 2nd term.

34. Better late than never!
The House Democrats in particular have crossed the Rubicon, and there is no way back, particularly in view of the storm trooper tactics of the Republicans.

It is imperative the GOP loses control of the House in 2006 (I don't think there is a mathematical opportunity to do the same in the Senate).

7. Thank you
Kucinich gave some great remarks today. This is Bush's war. He misled the American people and Congress. Amen.

Democrats are all focused on our presence impeding Iraqi progress and turning Iraq over to the Iraqis. I'm for getting behind that and pushing to begin the withdrawal. Murtha and Kerry both said to begin withdrawal after the December elections. Let's just get behind that message and go from there.

Q: Why is being a Democratic blogger similar to pissing your pants while you're wearing a dark suit?

A: Because although it gives you a warm feeling, nobody else will notice.

15. Thank you! This is what we need - unite!
So some different Democrats have somewhat different plans to get out of Iraq. At least they HAVE plans to get out in the near term, unlike those friggin' chickenhawks. I'm with you - let's stick together and support these Democrats - whichever Democratic plan is followed will be better than the republican non-plan.

and not make any decisions based upon COMMON SENSE. God forbid their voting record be flung back at them. I see at least 3-4 of them who will probably throw their hat in for the 2008 presidential primary.

We should feel sorry for them...they are, in a nutshell, clueless, and will never see it coming.

26. Well, that pretty much sums up my views on quality politicians
Something America has a problematic history of. For the life of us, we can't get our best and brightest to run for office. And that goes for the Dems too.

Honestly, with a small exception in the Senate, I think the best the Democrats have in Federal office are found in the House. The senators, for the most part, suck ass. I'm just happy that my senators (Obama and Durbin) almost never show up on these kinds of lists.

29. Hell Yeah.They have My Support 200%
The Democratic party is kicking ass.Don't forget we hold no power in the government right now.Not in any branch. For them to be calling the shots like they are and making Republicans stand up and listen is MAJOR.
They may not be doing it perfectly or in lock step on their postions yet(Murtha/Kerry)but they are getting their "agenda" heard and that is astounding being that the Republicans are in control of every branch of the government right now!
Keep your eye on 2006.We will gain back the House and possibly the Senate too.
Here's to us The Democratic Party. :toast:

:kick: :woohoo: :patriot:
