So Alito says he made his anti-abortion statements to get a job
So either he lied to get the job and he's not really interested in overturning Roe V Wade or he is a radical fundie who wants to overturn Roe V Wade.

Personally I don't want a liar or a fundie on the Court.

3. If I was on the committee in the hearings I would ask
him "Do you always lie if you think it would further your career?"

4. I don't know if he's a fundie but he appears to be a liar
and for some reason I'm not allowed to point out that he's going to be the 5th Catholic on the court and the 8th male.

5. So how do we know he's not lying now?
Perhaps we should give him a two sided sign, one side reading "telling the truth" and the other side reading "lying" and he can hold up the appropriate sign when he talks.

6. Yep, so he says what he needs to get a job. Warning! He is now
seeking yet another job.

He will say whatever he needs to say.

7. It just proves he'll say anything to get a job.
No reason to think that he's any different now. It seems to me that he just shot himself in the foot.

8. Round in a circle and nobody knows....
Circular reasoning....he said that to get a job before, so what's he saying to get the job now? Was he lying before or is he lying now?

He gave a bad explanation because he essentially branded himself as a liar either then or now..

9. Only in today's American Politics can a Republican openly admit
to lying in order to get a job and be hailed by the faithful sheeper as an oustanding human being and worthy of such a high position...

Mind numbing.

13. All of the above
He'll say whatever he has to in order to secure the job. He is not a man of principle. He is a phony.

AND I don't want someone with a hidden agenda.

What's the difference? It's all about the job, not "principles" or "honor" or "integrity".
