OOOPS.

"On the topic of how Bush is handling certain aspects of his job, 60 percent of those polled disapprove of the way he is handling the economy, 32 percent approve. Seventy-three percent disapprove of Bush's handling of oil prices, 20 percent approve."

1. I don't see how we can possibly fix the deficit.
The fact that its in the billions, and counting scares me.

7. Real income dropping; health ins., energy, education, housing costs up
much more than average salaries are increasing. The stock market is about where it was in 2001, which means that those saving for retirement have taken all the risks but have gotten no returns in that time, so they have to work longer and save more. Good pension plans are disappearing or at best are being replaced by much less generous ones. Good jobs are being lost overseas.

But I hear that the super-wealthy are doing really well.

Yeah, that's great management of the economy.

3. 32 percent approve-I think that is a slanted poll.
It is more like 10%. :smoke:

4. At the rate this jerk's numbers are falling ...
... watch for the 'fine print' in printed poll numbers. We're days away from reading: "Margin of error - 27%."

I've been wonderin' how Bushie's people explain those low poll numbers to him, so as not to upset the little bastard. I think I have the answer: They just tell him the polls are now done in metric, so 35% actually means he's doing splendidly.
