Lou Dobbs Has An Interesting Question Tonight....
I'm passing. I'm still "in the middle" even though the Democrats seem to have come alive, there are still issues that bother me. Far too much money to "buy" elections on "both" sides! We need serious Election Reform!! I would love to see some sort of "shorten" season or something, even if that doesn't sound too Democratic!

The question... Would You Consider Signing Up With A New Third Party?

4. Haven't Left Yet...
but I HAVE considered it in the very recent past.

I need another month. I'm a life-long Democrat and my roots are deep, but I've felt abandoned quite a bit lately. The word HOPE looms large!

6. Barak Obama gives me hope
There's nothing wrong with the basic platform of our dems. They just need to grow some balls.

5. only if that third party stood a chance.
Basically a third party would either have to completly split the Repukes, or outright devour the dems. I could see the fiscal conservatives who have more moderate to liberal social ideals breaking off from the fundies in the current GOP climate. But then again repukes have developed almost a cult like unity so I don't think that's likely. Not that I'd go with any split from those corrupt bastards, since I'm liberal socially and economically.

9. The seeds for the third party are firmly in teh ground
just as they were in the 1970s, and it is history repeating itself in some ways. On the bright side, the New Deal was one of the consequences, nto that Lou Dobbs woudl know that.. (PRogressives)

11. Lou Dobbs has a point. Conservatives have nowhere left to go.
They need a new party.

The Democratic party is salvageable.

The Republican Party is an extremist, corporatised hulk of corruption to its very core. There is not a maggot that could feed on its remains. There is no saving it. Basic human decency was abandoned in the Republican Party the day BushCo was installed, and that abandonment was twenty years in the making.

Indeed, anyone with decency and awareness recoils from its stink of death, a stink which is both literal and figurative.

12. Let the NeoCONs start the third party. Let's see them get in the
trenches and do the hard work. They wouldn't draw 2% of the vote.

13. WOW... The Results Were.... As Lou Would Say...
SHOCKING! 89% say yes. I didn't vote, but even that figure is a BIG surprise to me!!

Thankfully, I guess only a small percentage of people vote on these things! But it's sort of a bell-weather depending on how hard they PUSH the Agenda!
