Cheney: Give CIA Torture Exemption (LAT)
Edited on Mon Nov-07-05 03:30 PM by Peake
Snuck this one into the weekend news dump, see Sat Nov 5, Page 12.

Vice President made an unusual personal appeal to Republican senators this week to allow CIA exemptions to a proposed ban on the torture of terror suspects in US custody, according to participants in a closed-door session. -AP

CIA, huh? Didn't Bush 1 lead them a while? Don't the CIA overthrow foreign governments and install their own? Don't they probably still have ties to Bush 1, much less as a front for Bush 2? Look here for the tool of the trade.

--------

Edited for spelling.

As Bush is running around Latin America today, trying to pound in the lie as fact...Then we have Cheney...The lies are so blatant, they are so used to getting away with them...it's almost funny...But in truth, it's truly sad, sickening and disgusting, these lying republican corporate fascist!!!

3. lots going on there
plenty layers to look at. Cheney has his own motives for sure. He's not a PNAC true believer like a Wolfowitz is, he's more of a guy who would leach on to anything and cut his own mother's throat for a buck. So his support for something always has to come back around to money, less regulation, less scrutinization. He's consistently greedy like that.
