Bush in Panama--"We Do Not Torture"
But we oppose the McCain amendment(s) barring the use of torture. I guess we just want to keep our options open.

From Yahoo:

PANAMA CITY, Panama - President Bush vigorously defended U.S. interrogation practices in the war on terror Monday and lobbied against a congressional drive to outlaw torture.

"There's an enemy that lurks and plots and plans and wants to hurt America again," Bush said. "So you bet we will aggressively pursue them but we will do so under the law."

He declared, "We do not torture."

"of course, we define torture as INTENTIONALLY causing pain equivelant to death or organ failure. If you don't mean it it doesn't count.

8. When Bush says "we," he means himself, personally, and Pickles.
And maybe Barney. But don't forget--he's a pathological liar. So the opposite of everything he says is, in fact, the truth.

10. This administration has been torturing me for 5 years now
so I guess it's a matter of perspective.
