Why are so many DU Kerry supporters STILL attacking Dean ?
After 2 big wins by their candidate, why do they still feel compelled to attack Dean nonstop here on GD04 ?

Wouldn't it be more constructive of them to be touting Kerry's accomplishments in hope to gain support ?

Does anyone buy their 'concern' over Dean's finances ?

1. Ive seen more attacks on Kerry than Dean here today
and its all bs. How about people promote their candiate. I'll give you some nice Kerry news ok, today Kerry got Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and Former Senator Jean Carnahan. I dont feel like attacking Dean, I would rather promote my candiate.

3. The orthodox wisdom here is that front-runners deserve all the bashing
People are merely continuing in the established pattern.

5. I remember when Dean was the frontrunner, it seems worse now
Cant we just change the pattern. I still consider fleeing to the lounge for good now.

7. It is really not any worse, It just seems that way to you for two reasons
1. You like Kerry

2. Clark and Dean supporters seem to be on about the same page of the "Fight Kerry" book. Seeing as Clark and Dean wars were the previous height of conflict here, many of the posters are battle hardened.

11. I dont know man, all is good I guess
Its funny, I am seeing Clark and Dean supporting attacking Kerry together, these same people fought against each other all the time before, now they wanna bury the hatchet seemingly. Youre right, I do have a slight bias, it just seems worse.

2. Not for a minute do I buy it.
And I also don't buy the negativity from alleged Dean supporters. Don't forget that lots of people will be getting tax refunds back in the next couple of months and I'll bet a lot of them will be on their way to fund the doctor.

6. *cough*
Maybe it's because of threads like this attacking Kerry supporters.

I know...post a thread on an issue and see if maybe the attacks abate and debate actually occurs...ya think?

8. I've raised that concern
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 01:20 AM by bigtree
And I'm a solid Kerry supporter. I 'tout' my candidate's accomplishments all day long around here, mostly in defense of some snarky put-down.

I also 'tout' what I like about other candidates occasionally. Why is concern over the Trippi rip-off a slam of Gov. Dean? I intended for my comments to convey empathy. Hoppin_Mad, you may be barking up the wrong tree.

on edit: you gotta believe me. i not such a bitter guy. lived long enough to be content. iam actually warming to gov. dean these days. i love the 'scream' now, and i listen to him more. don't blow support with needless suspicion. there is a lot to empathize with. so much campaign bullshit, most of it stirred up by ambitious news hacks. we can argue and still respect each other here. best wishes for your candidate.

9. I am sick to my stomach over it
I have never been anything but decent to Dean supporters after Iowa, except when they decide to turn on Kerry. Joe Trippi is slime. I've thought he was slime for a while now. What he's done is horrible and I am really just sick over the whole thing.

17. Thanks for the chuckle.
Attack Dean, why would we need to do that? Dean's supporters seem to be doing a great job of turning off potential voters from serious consideration of your candidate.

If I cared, I'd take the time to do a comparison of Kerry insult/smear threads that have been posted here since the NH election vs. threads started by pro-Kerry posters.

BTW, I like Dean and contributed $ to his campaign. But, at the end of the day, I'm going with the guy whose leadership and integrity I've admired for 30+ years. He's going to be a great President.

18. Maybe because he's STILL the worst candidate
the fact that he's blown up hasn't changed our assessment of him
