Did anybody catch Reid yesterday on the Senate floor:
starting a good speech about the Budget reconciliation Bill by:

Mr. President, it is not often you see a spotlight shine on the differences between the two parties, between the Democrats and Republicans.

What is it about? I certainly hope there are differences between the two parties. Why are there two parties otherwise?

I have troubles understanding Reid sometimes. The "Budget reconciliation Bill" is at the chore of the differences between Democrats and Republicans: do you think that the government can actively help his weakest and poorest people.

Republicans' answer is NO. Democrats' answer SHOULD be YES.

So, yes, there is a major BASIC difference between the two parties.

1. Seems like the last 5 years have shone that light
at least for anyone who's not blinded by it.

People who don't believe in government should not govern.

2. It does - What bothers me is that our Senate leader does not see
a difference between Dems and Republicans.

like Democrats very much either. Especially when they say dumb shit like this at a time when they could be making political hay.

How does one become an Independent? Can you register as one?

6. I'm pretty sure you can.
It's probably a state-thing. Here in GA, you can vote in any primary no matter what your party affiliation, so if you registered Independent, you'd have nothing to lose (except you'd probably end up with tons of propaganda in your mail box from both sides during election years)

7. I am in California
The laws are different here. I was a registered Green for awhile and found I couldn't vote for who I wanted for President back in 1996 so I changed party affiliations back to Democrat.

I'm very disgusted with these losers in charge. They are all beginning to seem like nothing but a bunch of f'ing crooks to me.

This is great, all you have to do is fill out the little card. Unfortunately mine showed up late in the mail all torn-up!
