CIA Leak Investigation "chafing the already raw nerves at the White House"

After the grand jury session, the prosecutor, Patrick J. Fitzgerald, discussed the case for about 45 minutes in the chambers of Judge Thomas F. Hogan, the chief judge of the district court who has presided over the leak case, said the judge's administrative assistant, Sheldon L. Snook.

The grand jury deliberations and the special prosecutor's meeting with the judge ratcheted up fears among officials that Mr. Fitzgerald might have obtained an indictment from the grand jury, and was requesting that it be sealed. He could also seek an extension of the grand jury's term, which expires on Friday. Randall Samborn, a spokesman for Mr. Fitzgerald, would not comment on the case.

Mr. Fitzgerald, his deputies and the grand jurors arrived at the federal courthouse shortly after 9 a.m. The grand jurors were seen leaving around noon when Mr. Fitzgerald went to Judge Hogan's chambers.

Although lawyers in the case said that they expected that Mr. Fitzgerald would announce a decision on charges by Friday, his continuing deliberations chafed the already raw nerves at the White House and raised the possibility that he might need more time to complete his inquiry.

2. Darn, ain't that too bad...
Call me crazy, but chafed raw nerves aren't quite as bad as getting maimed or killed in a war that is based on complete and utter lies.

Chafe away Mr. Fitzgerald!

8. I doubt it. Poppy has been doing his own share of
kicking Junior's tush. Junior has been systematically destroying large portions of what Poppy considers his legacy. Junior has been pissing on Poppy's leg too long now.

4. Well, then, they need to send somebody out for talcum powder.
FUCK 'em.

OR as rove himself would say, "fuck them like they've never been fucked!"

5. i would NOT be displeased if Fitz found a way to take his time in making
any announcements about indictments. i think it would stress the hell out of rove and company to be left dangling above the fire... not knowing what's happening is truly the greatest torture in the world. uncertainty will disable the buscho machine.

9. Yes, torture couldn't happen to nicer people
They have zero sympathy capital. Hard to feel sorry for people who promoted torture, nine of them voted for it in the Senate, and their fearless leader said he would overturn a decision that forbade torture.

I hope someone has video of THEM right now, as they twist and turn and squirm and cry like the cowards they are.

They cheated and lied and maybe commit crimes to get what they wanted. They were arrogant and brutal to anyone that got in their way. They got their war. Now, they should stand up like men and take the consequences of their actions.

Fitz checkmated them at every turn. He cut off their usual weapon, the smear campaign, when he wrote that letter about 'interfering' with his investigation. If they try to smear him, he may hit them with interfering with his civil liberties, 'trying to prevent him from earning a living, and using government money, buildings and offices to do so'.

They are probably aware of the rumor that he may charge them with doing that to Joe Wilson.

Chafe away, torturers ~ normally I would have some sympathy for people in their position, but not for them.

6. Fitz wanting them to squirm? To his advantage if people still lying to
him, or if Rove is getting cute with dirty tricks?

11. Yeah, it's not the itching that's so bad,
it's the chafing.
