What do we do if there are no indictments?
Not a prediction, just an exploration of a possible outcome.

What if Fitzgerald ends next week with a statement that says in essence: "So long, and thanks for all the fish."

Do we hit the streets? Or do we just sigh and bemoan the oppressors boot mark on our throats? What is your idea?

19. it's hard not to feel like you...
but i think Fitz must justify putting a reporter in jail and the time and money spent. so i have a feeling there will be indictments, but nothing major.

29. Tell Me?? Where Do We Go???
I'll pack too, but what train do I board???

Actually, I AM packing going to start within the hour. I live on the west coast of Florida, very very close to Ft. Myers and in the county that Cruella represents! Gotta get into Hurricane mode!

Thankfully all my "portant" papers etc., are still boxed up from last year!

Praying for a STALL!

How much will we tolerate? In the torture scandal we tolerated a massive boondoggle to get the policy makers off the hook. Will we tolerate that again.

If there are indictments, I plan on getting distracted by the 'Missing White Women/Hurricane/Terra Threats/Osama Captured' news stories.

9. Sadly there is a murdered white woman in San Francisco in the news.
I believe that Larry King is planning to spend all of this week discussing the circumstances surrounding her murder. It seems that her husband is a famous attorney and thus her death becomes more newsworthy than that of all the poor women that have died violently in the same time frame.

13. I will take to my bed & cry for a week.
I will resign myself to the fact that we are stuck with these people for the immediate future. I will stop watching CSpan because I will no longer care. I will watch fluff on TV because I will no longer get any joy from watching my political shows.

-- I will refrain from calling the prosecutor a political hack. I think he is a good man who's leaving no stone unturned.

-- I will not be holding my breath for a Bill Frist indictment or a Tom Delay conviction.

-- I will stop myself before I drink the Kool-aid and become one of the sheeple.

I will be a mess. :(

If there are no indictments, it's all over.
All of our hopes for getting our country back.

It's not as if we can vote these people out of office.
They own the voting machinez.

24. Well, to start with, I DO think there will be indictments,
but if the unexpected happens and there aren't, I think we all have a pretty good idea of what we will do:

1) GD and GDP become swamped by bitter Plamegate-postmortem threads, so much so that Skinner et al. have to set up a separate forum for "Fights and Recriminations."

2) While most of us take a few weeks to go through the grieving process, others will begin to theorize that Fitzgerald MUST have had indictments ready, but
A)the grand jury was tampered with by the BFEE who knew just which "swing" vote to bribe at the last minute, or
B)Microsoft is part of the conspiracy, and Fitzgerald's Word program made it impossible for him to print up indictments for anyone, or
C)Ol'Prosecutor Fitzgerald was getting so close to exposing the entire rotten structure of *'s administration of lies that he needed more time to dot the "i"s and cross the "t"s, while also realizing that any indictments at this point would just open him up to merciless teasing from Rush, FOX, etc. and so he declined to indict ON PURPOSE to LULL the villains into a false sense of security, and will strike in a couple of months when the BFEE least expects it. January is a good month for that.

3) A few posters will gain notoriety by:
-creating extensive, number-rich spreadsheets that will prove that it was 99.9989% certain that indictments WOULD be filed, and so therefore, they HAVE been filed,
-or by posting bogus "news" reports in the polished tone and diction of serious journalism giving the rest of us false hopes, accompanied by a striking photo of a sexy-looking Fitz popping his head out of a swimming pool.

4) Eventually, most of us will recover, and the "Plamegate Results and Discussion" forum, after sending some ties to whatever (cable) journalist keeps running with the story, will eventually be relegated to obscurity with the rest of the small-time forums, inaccessible directly from the front page.

5) Slowly, one by one, the hard-core folks will come to their senses, and come quietly out of the jungle, realizing that the war is over, and that their Emperor no longer claims to be a direct descendant of Ameratsu, the sun-goddess.

Isn't that how these things usually go?

Stop watching cable news and C-Span. Never visit another political website again.

That's why there MUST be indictments. I'll become a very different person if there is no more hope for this country.
