| Which story is bigger? Trial of Saddam or indictment of Rove ? |
|
Doesn't Saddam's trial start tomorrow? One or the other is going to steal the thunder tomorrow. Saddam will make some comments at his trial about the "illegitimacy" of the trial and Rove will remain silent. Dubya wanted so much to have the Saddam trial on the air all by itself, but it it helps to take the heat off his main man, Rove, then it might be all right.

| 6. he was no "petty mobster." it is a very big deal for iraqis... |
|
He brutally rule Iraq for something like thirty years, he led iraw into ruin in rushing her into devastating wars (Iran-Iraq, Gulf I)
The Iraqis suffered tremendously under this man, the unfortunate thing is that we will eventually leave that country to its own civil wars and an equally brutal autocrat will emerge. but for today, these iraqis deserve to celebrate and i do not think it is ours to belittle the crimes of this man.

is that the U.S. made him and supported him, and propped him up all these years. So we're as guilty of his crimes as he is. Saddam is just a Middle Eastern Noriega / Batista. Don't forget that Ronnie Raygun supported the guy with armaments during the Iran - Iraq War.

will obediently ignore the coverage on Rove, and drown us in coverage of the Saddam trial - that's a sucker bet.

| 8. I heard they are gonna broadcast it on a TWENTY MINUTE delay |
|
Gives them time to do some heavy editing, if need be, I guess.
Reporters will not be allowed to record anything. Some freedom, eh?
