Dear XXXXXXXXX,
This week, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and UN Ambassador John Bolton -- two key figures on the Bush Administration's foreign policy team -- will be coming to Capitol Hill to testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
This is one of our best opportunities to demand answers to the many questions that millions of Americans are asking about Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, our relationships with our allies around the world, and our progress in the war on terrorism -- answers the Bush Administration so rarely provides.
On Wednesday, I will be presenting our Iraq petition to Condoleezza Rice, signed my more than 107,000 Americans demanding a success strategy and timetable that will get our brave troops home as soon as possible.
But before then, on Tuesday, John Bolton will be testifying. At this critical time for our country, I want to be sure to take your thoughts and ideas into the hearing room with me -- and so I ask for your input.
What questions would you like me to ask John Bolton on Tuesday?
I have already prepared a few possible questions for John Bolton. But if previous hearings are any indication, I'm sure I won't have enough time to ask everything I'd like.
So I want to make sure that the American people are getting answers to the questions that matter most to them, in the limited time I'll have at this week's hearings. Please take just a minute or two, right now, to rank those questions that are most important to you, so I can focus on the answers you're seeking.
Tell me what questions you'd like John Bolton to answer!
I hope I'll be able to ask all of the questions that Americans have on their mind. But with all of the important issues facing our country -- and all of the mistakes and misjudgments the Bush Administration continues to make -- it just may not be possible.
That's why I'm asking for your help.
Please take a few minutes to rank these important questions now.
I look forward to taking your views with me into the hearing room this week. Thanks so much for your participation and your continued support.
In Friendship,
Barbara Boxer
