Thank Olbermann (E-mail) for "Nexus of Terror" broadcast
Olbermann's E-mail: [email protected]

For those who appreciated Olbermann's outstanding broadcast last night on the "coincidental" timing between awkward moments for B*shco and TERRA! TERRA! TERRA! alerts, I'd encourage you to drop him a line. We (DUers) are always ripping MSM journalists because they largely suck and serve as a WH echo chamber- it must take a degree of guts to buck the corporate bosses and challenge their WH-guided talking points, as Keith often does. It's the first time for me hearing anyone in the MSM tell THIS story. A grateful public response may encourage more of this kind of journalism.

here's my letter (effusive, but genuine):

Keith,

I've waited a LONG time for ANYONE in the media to call out these bastards on their manipulation of the public with
conveniently-timed terror alerts. Why no one else has even broached the subject is the same phenomenon as to why so few
in the MSM (mainstream media) have challenged ANY of Bush's outlandish assumptions and reckless actions, a.k.a. the IRAQ FOLLY.

That has fed the gross ignorance of a public, perhaps 30-40% of whom still believe that Saddam Hussein was behind the 9-11 attacks.
Had the MSM not bestowed such credibility on the fraudulent Bush Administration by unquestioning acceptance of whatever poured forth from
the 'double-secret-background' mouths of Rove, Libby, or their underlings, we would have a better-informed public and might not be in the mess we are in now.
But here we are, and the public is finally catching on, and brave journalists such as yourself have stepped forward from the chorus line of
administration cheerleaders and are ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS. I don't expect journalists to parrot the views of the left, but I
expect them to DO THEIR DAMNED JOBS and ASK, INVESTIGATE and INFORM the public on all possibilities, all sides of an issue and be
skeptical about what is as plain as the nose on their face.

You are one of a VERY, VERY few broadcast journalists that is NOT part of the White House echo chamber. You are a hero to many of
us who have been depressed and dismayed for so long by a media that will give weeks of air time to the ranting Swift Boat Veterans but
2 or 3 days of dismissive coverage to those contesting Bush's military credentials. Clearly, you have not been sipping the Kool Aid that so
many of your peers seem to gulp so willingly.

Thank you for doing that segment. Thank you for representing so many of us who want to hear our viewpoints and concerns addressed, and who want
those put out there in the public.

If you are not familiar with www.democraticunderground.com, (you are and your show are hugely popular with its membership) please come for a visit.

1. Roger that! And recommended
Let's try and keep this kicked. KO needs us to back him up. Seems likely some of the brass and MSNBC probably give him a lotta shit when he does real journalism.

2. kick
:kick: cuz we need to make MSM aware that We the People appreciate the sort of honest analysis done by KO on important issues most media ignores.
