One down and one to go
Yes Kerry beat Dean in New Hampshire, But Dean also beat Edwards.
Dean was a distant 3rd coming out of Iowa and looked like he would go down in flames because of the reaction to his Iowa speech. Dean came into New Hampshire at 19% in the polls and turned that around to a strong second place with 26% of the vote. A double digit lead over Edwards, in fact Edwards placed 4th.
So now all the attention will be on Kerry and everyone will be gunning for him. The media has already started questioning him and his ability.
The Primary is like a marathon race. Sometime it's better to be second and make your move at the right time than to be out front where you can't see what's going on behind you.

Go Dean.

1. I don't think I agree...
NH was, from the very beginning, and always has been, THE big border war between Kerry and Dean, and Kerry won soundly. You can take whatever solace you like, but even coming in 2nd, Dean took a big, big hit last night.

Note: I am a former Gephardt supporter.

2. I'm with you
Dean poured resources into NH for months and months and Dean had built up quite an impressive organzation in NH, but he still couldn't win in a state that was next to his home state. Dean had money, support, and momentum, but lost in NH.

If Dean can't win NH, what can he win?

5. Uhm, look at a map, will ya?
I believe Kerry's home state is pretty close to NH too.

But nice try. Is this the new meme?

3. Edwards never led Dean in NH
in fact Edwards was mired in 3-5% until last week, he moved up to 12%.

Dean on the other hand, led Kerry by 35 and lost. And Dean still trails both Kerry and Edwards in most southern states where he's slipped to single digits.

4. Edwards is going to do good in the south.
So nobody should write off Edwards this quick. And Edwards in already winning in a South Carolina poll.
