Newsmax is a great source. Late Night TV jokes about Rove, Miers
and Bushit.

LENO

Did you hear about this? A spy has been found working in the White House. A guy on Vice President Cheney’s security detail was allegedly passing U.S. secrets to foreign governments. Karl Rove is really mad too. Leaking secrets – that’s his job!

Rumor has it that President Bush has started drinking again. Do you know what that means...all the decisions he’s made up until now...he’s been sober.

Al Gore gave a speech today claiming that American democracy is in grave danger. And then Tipper Gore said, "Al just pay the pizza guy and let’s eat.” (I thought it was funny, too)

President Bush is out defending his Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers. President Bush said that Miers has a good heart. Well sure, compared to Dick Cheney.

Today President Bush tried to assure conservatives that Harriet Miers was the best choice for the Supreme Court. Bush said "Twenty years from now she'll be the same person she is today." Really? Twenty years ago she was a Democrat and Catholic.

The big story today, President Bush picked Harriet Miers to replace Sandra Day O’Connor on the Supreme Court. I don’t want to say she is unknown but even her family is going, "Who’s Harriet Miers?”

She’s never been a judge before. Never served on the bench. This is part of President Bush’s strategy of only surrounding himself with people who also in over their heads.

A lot of Republicans are very upset with the choice of this woman because they say it is important to have a staunch conservative on the court because someday soon she could be ruling on Tom Delay's case.

2. Actually
NewsMax has had the "late-night jokes" feature for years. But yes, the right wing meltdown over this administration is delightful to watch. :-)

4. No, I missed that!
That's really something. I did read her scathing rebuke of the Miers nomination.

I have to admit though, I'm a little nervous that all this right wing huffing and puffing is a ruse to make Dems (and the public) more comfortable about Miers. She's the ultimate stealth nominee.

8. I'm wishing and hoping that Tom Coburn or Orrin Hatch
makes her break down and cry during the hearings...
