Fool court press - military style
Just two days after government auditors called the Bush administration for illegal propoganda, using US tax dollars, the administration responds with its Sunday mourning propoganda press. A fool court press.

Both This Weak with George and Meat de Pressed, had their medalled, bejeweled and shiny officers on cue, on script and on stage. I have to tell you, I am impressed. All those medals, all those shiny stars, just the right lighting to make all that metal gleem.

In some ways, it reminds me of the olde Soviet Komissars, in their full regalia, with sashes, ribbons, medals and stars, or the top Nazi officers, all decked out with their own insignia, medals and more.

All for show, nothing for substance. Rummie has won the battle for PR presentation, but he is losing the war - the one that counts.

If they had spent half the time they wasted on their appearance on more important issues, such as pre-invasion planning, investigating torture and putting a stop to it, or telling Rummie when and how he is in error, I suspect they would be wearing fatigues, not shiny medals. And we would trust them more for it.

1. The ribbons, medals, stars on these guys does remind one
of the old-style Russian military figure. Gen. Myers just has way too many of them - they must weigh a few pounds!

2. his tailor knows for sure.
Proof positive that the top brass earn too many medals simply for showing up. Although, I would like to see the medal given for a successful coverup of the Abu Grhaib torture scandal.
