I have a microphone and I know to use it
Watching David Drier tonight on Regular Joe's show (*I* was asked for a passport .... I wonder why?) I saw an amazing performance.

Drier had some canned spew, and bygawd he was gunna spew it. Even as Regular Joe was handing him mostly softball questions, Drier never strayed from his scripted spew. Not an 'excuse me' ..... not a 'please let me finish' .... not even an acknowledgment that he was to be doing a pas de deux. He was doing his solo and he would not be stopped.

The thing that struck me was just that. His message discipline, likely as not learned at the Heritage Institute's Shriek Money College, was a thing of true beauty.

Contrast that to just about any Dem you can name.

Polite

Deferential

Accommodating

Considered

Engaged

And at the end of such a performance ..... ineffective.

Now is our time. If only we had a speaker who is up to the task of breaking through the media muzzle with which we always start.

Who are our best on-air teevee spokespeople? Do we have any?

2. Oh man would I love for some us **real** regular joes and janes
to have a chance to speak on one of those shows.

Mine, however, would likely have so many bleeps my message would be lost .... except for the visual of the veins in my neck and head throbbing.

4. Yeah, the five second delay would get a workout for sure
"Really Tweety? Well, you blow-dried, overprimped {bleep}, let me {bleep} tell YOU something. Tom DeLay is a {bleep} {bleep} {bleep} {bleep} and you know what he's been {bleep} doing to our country? He's bent it over his office desk and {bleep} {bleep} {bleep} {bleep} {bleep} {bleep} it, while you and your {bleep} media {bleep} asshole (whoops!) cronies have had your hands down your pants, {bleep} {bleep} {bleep} {bleep} {bleep}."

Okay, the mic would have been cut long before I got to that point, but I think I'd get the message across. And Tweety for sure wouldn't be laughing it off like he did when batshit crazy Zell Miller challenged him to a duel.

3. Cindy Sheehan does an amazing job.
But then she's not a "Party" spokesperson. She is extremely good for a civilian. Seems to stay on message better than most of the pros i've seen.

5. She does, indeed. In her own way .....
..... gentle, elegant, and eloquent. And she won't be shaken from her message.

We need some official and formal surrogate spokespeople to do the same.
