"PARTISAN" Ronnie Earle VS. HAMMERHEAD De LAY-- Get Earle's record here!
Edited on Wed Sep-28-05 01:08 PM by FrenchieCat

PHOTO OF RONNIE EARLE

NOTE DATE ON STORY BELOW....

DeLay's first line of defense will be to scream that the Democrat Earle is on a partisan witch hunt. Earle's unsuccessful prosecution of Kay Bailey Hutchison in 1994 for allegations of misappropriated campaign funds while she was State Treasurer will be his Exhibit A, and it will carry some weight. Earle will point out that he's prosecuted quite a few Democratic politicians in his day, with his biggest scalp being that of former Speaker Gib Lewis. I will expect much sound and fury, with the usual results. But I'll keep an eye on it anyway, just in case.

2. Please write to our Corporate Media Whores
before they get too excited. Please email them Earle's record as listed here by political label. Please do this quickly BEFORE the slime machine gets to the media....although I am sure "they" already have!

This is called a Pre-emptive Attack!

Let's stay on the Offense here! Discrediting the "partisan" label that will be used against Mr. Earle EARLY is our best line of offense.

De Lay discredited means a better chance for a DEMOCRATIC Congress in 2006.

NOW GET TO WORK!

9. Just wrote to Chris Matthews...
...who had already accepted and reinforced the idea that Earle was a "partisan."

UnBELIEVABLE how these assholes decide guilt or innocense in the span of a commercial break.

22. My letter to Fox News....and a similar sent to MSNBC
My letter to Fox News on the DeLay "defense" at [email protected]
and a similar one sent to MSNBC at [email protected]
-----------------
Dear Fox News,
Mr. Tom De Lay is using the same old tired defense that Republicans use when in trouble; Partisan wichhunt!

Anyone examining Mr. Earle's record of prosecution by party label would not call him a partisan Prosecutor, no matter what party he might belong to. So I ask, why should DeLay's accusations be given the time of day by the media on the question of Mr. Earle's motives? But nevertheless, DeLay is calling Earle a Partisan Zealot Fanatic, and Fox News is bidding his duty by questioning Mr. Earle's motivation without addressing Earle's record as I have detailed it below!

Based on Tom DeLay's attacks on Mr. Earle ethical character, I am calling Mr. DeLay desperate.

Fox, Fair and Balanced?
I'm from Missouri; please "show me"!

Respectfully,
C. McClendon

Detailed List of Ronnie Earle's prosecuted politicians:

27. My moderate friend's take on this...interesting
Some of you may have heard me speak of her. The woman I share an office with who's my barometer of what's going on in the moderate mind.

She came in this morning and said, "Delay was indicted yesterday. You must be happy." I told her, "Whoo-hoo!" or something equally profound. Then she volunteers, "He's saying the prosecutor went after him because of politics, but the prosecutor has prosecuted more Democrats than Republicans."

Usually, I'd have to provide her with that second bit of information, but she knew it without me telling her.

It's turning around, folks.

28. Picking on poor Delay - a man with not a single partisan bone in his body
Right! - This is typical of the attack machine to accuse someone else of what you are doing. Kind of like cheating spouses who accuse the other spouse of cheating. The partisan accusation was used earlier when Delay was initially charged in the grand jury. When you state the facts that Earle has prosecuted more dems than reps, the counter argument is that - Of course he did - that is when Texas was run by dems. The reps standard motto - don't let facts muddy up are beliefs.

29. Frivalous lawsuits are also illegal, yet DeLay doesn't counter-sue.
Edited on Thu Sep-29-05 12:40 PM by Mugsy
Please note that filing a frivilous lawsuit and/or making baseless accusations is also illegal here in Texas (everywhere?).

So if DeLay is SO certain Earle is making baseless accusations for partisan gain, then he has every right to counter sue... even against a State Prosecutor. Yet he doesn't. Why? Because he knows it would never hold up, and would drag the case out longer, whereas he wants to get it behind him as quickly as possible.
