| Incompetent Brown scapegoat of Bush and Republicans... |
|
He is being "swift-boated" as we speak. At first, we were told he was fired. Now, we are told he is still on the payroll. Why? In the middle of this story is the rumor in the National Enquirer about the top guy's return to booze. It has been reported that the story originates with a recently fired department head. FEMA? And that this is payoff to keep him quiet until he can be disposed of and discredited by the Republican Party. And that is the point of the hearing in the House.
The goal is to take the heat off Bush and the Republicans in general by placing all the blame on the incompetent Brown. However, we know now that FEMA was underfunded and unappreciated after the obsessive war on terror began and FEMA was put under the Homeland Security Department. Brown is not the head of FEMA - it is the head of the Homeland Security. But, at present, Brown will serve as a capable scapegoat.

| 1. If Brown was supposed to just lay down and take it, he didn't! |

Yea, he tried to make it sound good for Shrub, but if you listened to the entire testimony, you see how agitated he got when directly accused of incompetence, and he directly blamed Chertoff/Ridge for diverting $$ from FEMA and didn't make the WH people he talked to look very competent either.

And I think Brown is purposely drawing the fire and the ire to draw attention from other matters that could use a little scrutiny. But, since he's doing all this at his dark overlord's command, I--
