By installing Bush, it set the stage for disaster via poor decisions...

Poor voting = poor decisions = cluster fucks = self defeat = loss of power = Newt

2. I'll never forget it, it was like people were "brain dead"
that were voting for Bush. They didn't want to hear anything that was true... like the fact that Poppy Bush had put Saddam in his position of power to start with! Go tell... All the repugs wanted to be concerned with was Clinton's private sexual affairs! I still don't get it, how so many people can be so empty headed. Is there any hope for humanity? I seriously don't think so.

Bush Supporters Still Believe Iraq Had WMD or Major Program,
Supported al Qaeda

Agree with Kerry Supporters Bush Administration Still Saying This is the Case

Agree US Should Not Have Gone to War if No WMD or Support for al Qaeda

Bush Supporters Misperceive World Public as Not Opposed to Iraq War,
Favoring Bush Reelection

Even after the final report of Charles Duelfer to Congress saying that Iraq did not have a significant WMD program, 72% of Bush supporters continue to believe that Iraq had actual WMD (47%) or a major program for developing them (25%). Fifty-six percent assume that most experts believe Iraq had actual WMD and 57% also assume, incorrectly, that Duelfer concluded Iraq had at least a major WMD program. Kerry supporters hold opposite beliefs on all these points.

Similarly, 75% of Bush supporters continue to believe that Iraq was providing substantial support to al Qaeda, and 63% believe that clear evidence of this support has been found. Sixty percent of Bush supporters assume that this is also the conclusion of most experts, and 55% assume, incorrectly, that this was the conclusion of the 9/11 Commission. Here again, large majorities of Kerry supporters have exactly opposite perceptions.

4. most people can't see past their noses.
And rely on corporate owned media for information. Add a little xenophobia and jingoistic feel-good propaganda to appeal to the worst instince and - you get the American Sheeple. When things get so unworkable as to having such corrupt and inept leadership, making bad decisions and betraying the best interests of its citizens at home in involved, I feel there is no cure for the decline.

I am wonderng if the American Civilization is not unlike one of those earlier empires, ( Byzantine, Roman, Ottoman, ). These are interesting times.

9. Sometimes I think we are being too hard on our dem leaders.
The whole system is so unfair, corrupt and fraudulent it's hard to know if our dems are doing a good job or not. I think both Gore and Kerry ran excellent campaigns. Neither were perfect, both made mistakes, but that's normal. Both were by far more qualified than Bush.

If you play a game with someone and they cheat to win...do you then wonder what you did that caused you to lose or think you didn't play well? If you can't quit the game the only thing you can do is call them out.

I do think our dems aren't good at "calling them out". I think the whole situation has taken a toll on their confidence and made them over-cautious. Like an abused wife, they sometimes don't know what to do or say because either way they get punched.
