***** OFFICIAL NEW HAMPSHIRE RESULTS THREAD *****
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 08:06 PM by Skinner
(I apologize for breaking the caps rule and the punctuation rule, but I think it's important that everyone sees this.)

In order to help everyone keep track of the results of the New Hampshire primary, lets try to report all the updates in this thread as they happen. I think it is much too confusing to have dozens of different threads with different results from different times.

INSTRUCTIONS

Please put the most important information from each update in the title of your post, so the returns are easy to follow. Include the number of precincts reporting, followed by the first three or four candidates in order. Kinda like this:

00% reporting - Candidate A: 00%, Candidate B: 00%, Candidate C: 00%, Candidate D: 00%

If possible, let us know the source for the results you post.

Also, let's try to avoid extraneous discussion in this thread.

70. Winner take all as far as delegates go in NH?
Or do they get assigned proportionally?

the count of delegates.

73. It's all proportionate representation now
There are NO more 'winner take all' primaries on the Democratic side anymore. Most states use the 15% threshold to win any delegates, but once that is met, it is strictly proportionate.

The only barrier in the way of a longer three-way or four-way race is money. Clark and Edwards have to give potential donors more hope than 13% and no delegates for all they spent. Feb 3 is critical for both of them.

Kerry's new status as clear frontrunner should open up some pursestrings again for him. It has already started coming in fast. The question is will that pace of donations hold up.

Dean has money, but he spent a lot for poor returns in Iowa and NH. Will his supporters' enthusiasm wane in the face of adversity?

76. Interesting geographical differences.
Edited on Wed Jan-28-04 07:15 AM by creativelcro
There were 3 counties (out of 10) in which Dean did better than Kerry... Interesting pattern. Wondering what is the main factor for the variability.
Out of curiosity, what's up with Manchester and Nashua ? Dean got creamed there.
