Lieberman Led "Friendly" 42 minute hearing on FEMA Head Michael Brown -- Now that Zell Miller is gone, Lieberman is the worst Democratic senator. We need a national effort to replace him with a real democrat.

Lieberman is one of our worst DINOS, time to clean out the democratic party. Not just for the above article, but for keeping his nose up the republican hind end most of the time.

2. Can you feel the S C H M O M E N T U M ? ? ?
He needs to go... bigtime.

But, Zell isn't gone, just "retired" and free to travel with the "I LOVE THESE GOD-FEARING REPUBLICANS" Tour, coming to your town soon.

They both need to be kicked out of the Democratic Party.

3. Leave Joe, we just can't tolerate you anymore. You are weak!
And don't ever moralize on the Senat floor anymore like you did about Clinton. How about starving people, allowing them to suffer, abandoning them? Isn't this a "moral" issue. You don't care. You never did. You're a one trick pony and that trick is to support the Republican agenda. AMF dude.

4. Zell gone???
I thought he was still among us and still called himself a Democrat, much to our chagrin.

Lila Lipscomb is a real conservative Democrat. Zell's just a loud-mouthed poser.

7. Considering that he has a 70% approval rating from CT Democrats
I think that you are going to find that Joe isn't going to go anywhere until he decides to.

8. I know, isn't that up to the Conneticut citizens?
I'm sure if anything can overcome the democratic process, though, it'll be people complaining on a message board and saying that there needs to be an effort without starting one.

10. Ron Brownstein @ LA Times said Bush may tap Lieberman
to the Supreme Court as a gesture that he can work across party lines and especially in light of his DISMAL poll numbers...only problem is Lieberman is a Dem in name only.....

12. Every time you vote for Liberman or a Democrat like him,
the Republicans win, and we lose. Period.

And right now no one in CT has the balls to challenge a popular Democrat like Lieberman.

15. Connecticut may just circle the wagons against a national effort
it is up to them, after all. And I've heard tell around here that they are more conservative than some folks might want them to be.

What you may be proposing is a fight against Conn. Dems in general. That won't go down well.

Any Dem is better than a Repub. All I have to say is that if you guys go monkeying around in Conn. and we end up with a Repub instead of a Dem in that seat, that would not be a good thing. So, make sure there is a Dem butt in there when you're done. Doesn't have to be Joementum's butt. Just a Dem butt.

But I also think that non-Connecticut folks trying to invade Connecticut for the purposes of unseating Leiberman may find that Connecticut folks will resent having some carpetbagger come in and tell them what they should be doing, Senator-wise, esp if that carpetbagger doesn't have clue one about local issues and how Connecticut folks about said local issues.

Meanwhile, go to www.vote-smart.org and see his record. It is at least partly progressive and preferable to most Repubs we could end up with. Think about it before you go taking down the big tent.

Zell left. He wasn't pushed out, and certainly not by Georgia. I think Conn. will be the same.
